Working in the Netherlands

If you come to the Netherlands to work, first and foremost, this means that you’ll start working for a Commissioning Party. These Commissioning Parties operate in various industries. Depending on your background and experience, you’ll start working in one of these industries. This may be on long or short term, all depending on your wishes and those of the Commissioning Party.

Your contract

When it comes to contracts, ForeignFlex works with the ABU phase system. The phases of the contract are related to the period in which you’ve already been working for us. Would you like more information? Read more about the phase system.

Your salary is determined based on the type of work you do, on your age and your work experience. We are an ABU member. This Collective Labour Agreement immediately sets the wage applicable in your industry from the moment you start working. Therefore, we ensure that there is equality between permanent and temporary employees.

Your salary will be paid weekly on Friday. Your wage is often paid to your bank account the same day. For some banks, this happens the Monday after.

Your development is paramount with us. Where necessary, we offer training programmes. In addition, as a part of our support process, we offer you standard a Dutch language course. For guarantying safety and clarity, we make sure that any instruction relevant for your position is available in English or Polish.

Personal support

When you start working in the Netherlands, it is very comforting to know that there is a person you can call when dealing with all sorts of issues. People who speak your language and understand how it feels to work in a foreign country. Our team of experts provides support on all aspects of living and working in the Netherlands. So, you can contact our consultants 24/7, for e.g., help when filling in (tax) forms, for legal advice or following education. Also, we act as interpreters when visiting a GP.

If you come to the Netherlands it is important to know that you can count on adequate accommodation. To this effect, we work closely with a specialist; our sister organisation, Logejo. This organisation is SNF certified and all locations meet or exceed the norm. For example, the short-stay accommodation in Boskoop. This accommodation includes independent 4-person studios with modern furnishing, a fitness room, a classroom and a canteen.

ForeignFlex has an extensive fleet with which we can ensure that you always arrive at your workplace safely and timely. The park ensures that we are very flexible and can respond quickly, so you can always stop working earlier when needed.
